I am not sure how it was before but it seems now you are able to add more groups to your profile. Or maybe I have been away for too long to remember. But, the truth is, I like nice group gifts and I like as well hunting for them. I must say, some of the best stuff I've own in SL came from those awesome gifts. So, it's worth the hassle.
